Olmos Park Youth Commission Youth Board is an opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to develop and hone their leadership skills.
Supported by OPYC’s adult board and event co-chairs, youth board members can benefit from getting a behind-the-scenes look and giving input to OPYC’s programming and help expand member benefits.
Time commitment is three meetings during the year with the adult board and regular communication with co-chairs.
Youth board candidates must be a member for at least one year and have earned 24 hours of OPYC service or have co-chaired an OPYC activity.
Final selection of OPYC youth board members will be made by adult board.
The youth board is organized by the following areas:
- LEADERSHIP/CITIZENSHIP
- SERVICE
- COMMUNITY BUILDING
- ENTERPRISE
- MARKETING
- MEMBERSHIP
Each area will have a president and vice president.
