EARTH DAY IN OLMOS PARK!

EARTH DAY Volunteer Opportunities APRIL 28
We know that the official EARTH DAY is April 22 but we decided to extend the celebration to Sunday, April 28! Here are ways you can help Olmos Park celebrate Earth Day!

OPYC Members Gray Altmeyer and Meade Flavin are co-chairing this year’s initiative!
Meade is completing his Eagle Scout project to create an Olmos Park sign with plantings.
As an EARTH DAY project, members are being invited to participate by helping provide soil, plants and place them into the planting beds.

Gray Altmeyer is researching options for collecting recyclables at Olmos Park gatherings that take place at Alameda Circle. We look forward to seeing these options in place (and asking volunteers to help where needed) beginning with Fiesta Frolic!

WHAT: EARTH DAY INITIATIVE
WHEN: SUNDAY, APRIL 28, 1-3PM
WHERE: LOCATION TO BE PROVIDED
SERVICE HOURS: Earn one hour for each bag of soil (up to three hours) and earn two hours for helping plant on April 28!
