OPYC Feb. 23 Member Gathering Featured Neighbor Michael Lindner, M.D. Talking About Careers in Medicine!

Olmos Park neighbor and leader in the gastroenterology medical field, Michael Lindner, M.D. spoke about careers in medicine on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 5 p.m. at the home of OPYC co-founder, Eli Greenberg.


Members gathered were given anecdotal stories and tips on how to position themselves in high school to pursue their passions in the medical field. Members asked Dr. Lindner many questions including what kind of grades he made in high school, what kind of math classes he took before he went to college. They wanted to know what the training was like during medical school, the amount of hours he put in on a daily basis as a resident and what he enjoys about being a doctor today.

The meeting also provided highlights of upcoming programs/events. This meeting took place just before COVID-19 brought daily life to a halt.


ABOUT MICHAEL LINDNER, M.D.

Michael Lindner M.D. is a board-certified gastroenterologist who has been a partner with San Antonio Gastroenterology Associates for 25 years. As the son of an Air Force colonel, Michael grew up all over the world. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis. He went to medical school in Dallas at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Parkland Hospital in Dallas (Southwestern Medical School) and did his fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Michael is married to Catherine Spezia and has four children, Nathan, David, Annabelle and OPYC co-founder, Sam.
