During COVID-19, SA Food Bank and its volunteers have been providing food to nearly 120,000 people each week, doubling the demand they usually serve. To help with their dwindling inventories, OPYC is launching Food Bank Fridays food collection drive. Below is a list of the Food Bank’s 12 most needed items.
Food Bank’s 12 Most Wanted Items: Peanut butter, cereal, tuna, pop top food items, beans, ice, mac and cheese, full meal cans/boxes, chili and soups, canned lunch meats, pet food, baby food and diapers
Donation Pick-Up: An OPYC high school age member will come by and pick up each Friday in May (May 1, 8, 15, 22, 29). For safety precautions – No teen can go into a home or be handed the items. Please place items by 3 p.m. in a bag or box marked with OPYC and your last name.
Donation Drop-Off: If you would rather drop off your donations at any time, there is a red SA Food Bank bin located at 163 Park Hill. Thank you to the Lutz family for coordinating!
